Submit an Abstract

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English using the online system through the symposium web page.  Abstracts submitted via fax or email will not be accepted.
  • There is a limit of 400 words for the text of the abstract.  Titles, authors, institutions, tables, and images will not be counted toward the limit.
  • The abstract should contain the principal details of the study:  aim, methodology, results and conclusions.
  • Names of drugs mentioned in the abstract must be in line with the international nomenclature.
  • Original research topics, video submissions, novel case reports, examples of uses of innovative technologies and “How I Do It” submissions will be accepted.
  • The planning committee of the symposium will select abstracts for the moderated poster presentations and will determine the top two abstracts for presentation on Saturday, December 7, 2024.  The top two abstracts will receive complimentary registration for the 3rd Annual University of Florida International Aortic Symposium in 2025.
  • Revisions will not be accepted, so please ensure accuracy prior to submission.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline of October 30, 2024.  Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.  Submission of an abstract acknowledges your consent for the abstracts to be published in the official program.
  • Authors will be notified by email no later than November 1, 2024, whether their abstract has been accepted or rejected.
  • Presenting authors of abstracts must be registered participants at the University of Florida International Aortic Symposium.  Registration must be received by November 15, 2024, to ensure that your abstract is included in the symposium program and scheduled for presentation.
  • The presenting authors must complete full disclosure forms prior to the symposium in order to present.  The presenting author cannot be an employee of an ineligible company if the content of the abstract relates to their employee’s business line and/or products.
  • All expenses (e.g. registration, airfare, lodging, etc.) associated with the submission and presentation are the responsibility of the presenter.
